Make sure to check out KIX / FriskyRadio with Ian Handsley and bRoTheRmAn. Ian writes on facebook:

"This Valentine's night, invite your insignificant other over, slip into pachinko suits, open a couple of Ozeki One-Cups, crack a new deck of Mild Seven Lights, and tune into friskyRadio.com for 2-hours of steamy, Osaka-styley minimal tech and electro house with me, Ian Handsley, and bRoTheRmAn.

This one's a bit special, not just because it's Valentines, but because this will be my last frisky mix for a while, as I'm heading to Venezuela to study Beauty Pageantry.

It's also special 'coz bRoTheRmAn has given me a 'killer' mix to air on the show. If it doesn't get your freak on, then you've had too many One-Cups."

In a blog post awhile back, I recorded part of a funny conversation with Mattias Linberg and friends at a tachinomiya in Jingu-mae, near Bar Bonobo. This is part one of five of a flash media / advertising presentation he did one of the times he was in Tokyo. Check out Fakepilot.com for cool and edgy flash production campaigns for some well-known clients. Posted by Rob.

I wrote a letter to the editors of VeloNews.com, a cycling journal, around 1 November 2006, then forgot about it:

Waiting for an iPOG?
"Dear VeloNews,
When can we start listening to Patrick O'Grady's rants on our iPods? I think the people are ready to listen!
-Rob, Tokyo, Japan"
Editor: "Awwww, we'd have done it a long time ago, but he really does foam at the mouth when he rants and it ruins the microphones. - Editor"

You can find the letter if you scroll down near the bottom of this page or click here for Patrick O'Grady's Foaming Rant column. Posted by Rob.
p.s. It looks like they do have a cycling news audiocast for you race fans out there (i.e. Hans). -r

Learn to talk like Alex's grandma (Queen Elizabeth)! Alex thinks that, just because he's a native speaker, and because he can teach Japanese, that he can teach English too. Whatever! If I wanted to talk like Posh Spice, I'd marry David Beckham! Posted by Rob.

Try the soap that looks like fudge candy, smells good enough to eat, and tastes, um well, we'll let you decide how it tastes. Makiko has kicked off an online store which you can read more about in this week's Tokyo Metropolis. Still not convinced? Then hear Alex sing his praise of the wonderfully hygenic stuff! Comedy from Chris Morris' Blue Jam and Music from Syd Barret (RIP) and John Hayden (News from the Other Side.)" From Patrick in Osaka.

Beb, Alex & Rob got mentioned in a JapanZine article, just a blurb in an article about podcasting, but we got mentioned nonetheless! The podcast was Alex's baby i日本語 / Learn Japanese, and if you are still reading at this point, you can follow this link to the article here. Posted by Rob.

Shout out to Otaku Generation who played our song. Yay for the OG crew! These guys must be an army. I've never heard so many people on the mic for a podcast. Sounds like they're all having a good time too. WARNING: These guys are serious Otaku. Don't listen to it unless you are already warped (if you are reading this, you probably already are). Discovered by Alex. Posted by Rob.

This is a link to a piece on digital music that Alex wrote for the folks at Bike Club Osaka... "With millions of people sharing music digitally and many millions more to come what is happening to music ? Is the record contract dead ? Is the music industry in trouble or onto something bigger and better?" Read more.  This post by Rob.

This is an idea Beb had which turned out really well. Both Alex and I had something else in mind when we started, so it was a pleasant surprise to see what Beb came up with. Filming and editing by Beb. Photo by Rob. Post by Rob. Water! / The Beb and Alex Show
