Thu, 22 February 2007 ![]() My brothers and I all used to race bicycles when we were kids. That was a long, long time ago, but we still like to get out and ride from time to time. We always watch the races whenever we get a chance, which isn't very often for me now that I live in Japan. I depend on a variety of online sources to get my velo-fix: VeloNews, L'Equipe, La Gazzetta dello Sport, El Pais, etc, but Hans catches a lot of races on TV, if not in first person, and he tends keep me up to date whenever I miss something. Here are links to some of the topics we mentioned: 1. The Tour of Langkawi. 2. Mississippi cigarette tax. 3. Tour of California rosters. 4. New Montreal to Boston race. 5. YouTube bike messenger videos. 6. Extreme unicycle videos. 6. Andrew Hood photos. This podcast was actually recorded one week ago, so sorry it's a bit late getting uploaded. The Tour of California has since gotten underway with Levi Leipheimer taking the first stage and the yellow leader's jersey which he's held onto for the first few stages. Artwork by Pablo Picasso. Please don't sue! See you next time! Posted by Rob.

Tue, 20 February 2007 Okay, we don't have any storage space available, but there are a couple of files already uploaded just waiting to be used. One is a sample of my brothers (guess which one) recorded while in a traffic jam. It took a bit of convincing, but he allowed me to send it to a few friends for remixing (Alex, Quest, DJ Kung-fu Grip and Norville). After quite a bit of smack talk from Alex, and a "we'll see what we can do with it" from Kung-fu Grip, a couple weeks have passed, and I'm dying to see what it sounds like set to music. So, I'm offering it up to the masses as is. Who wants it? Show us your music and mixing skills! Make sure you give credit to the H-Monster. Artwork is actually a negative photo of a t-shirt from The Church's 1988 World Tour. Please don't sue! Posted by Rob.Comments[1] |
Sat, 17 February 2007 This week B chan helped me to do delcious things with aubergine or eggplants or nasubi or whatever you like to call them. Watch as I destroy B chan's mixer and stare at the camera with itchy hayfevered eyes. Posted by Alex.

Wed, 14 February 2007 My friend, former colleague and veteran of the Harlow punk rock band Urban Decay, Dean Tisbury belts out a rendition of this classic with his new Osaka bandmates "No Half Measures." I forget the name of this bar in Mino-o, Osaka. I'll add the name when it comes back to me. Posted by Rob. Category: music video -- posted at: 1:39 PM Comments[2] |
Wed, 14 February 2007 I'd just like to go on the record and say that not all hotels in Nagoya are crap. But this one sure took the biscuit. This is a little song that is about a terrible hotel experience I had. You can even read my hotel review here on Yahoo. It goes a little something like this... Song by Alex.Comments[0] |
