We haven't had any music for awhile, so I figured...

How about a dog with 3 legs but two tails?  Wait, that don't make no sense.

How about a new twist to an old classic?  This was our first take, and I forgot a verse.  Oops.  We plan to do a multiple track recording of this, and actually recorded voice and instrument separately, but this particular recording was just done with iTalk (a mic for iPods).  John Marrese a.k.a. Momiji (I think that's the name he's going to go with for our collaborations) is on the violin.  Roberto El Gringo on vocals.

NEWS FLASH!  Lance Armstrong breaks his collarbone in La Vuelta a Castilla y León. (see Cycling News link below for video)

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?id=news/2009/mar09/mar23news3

In this podcast Hans and Rob give bicycle shopping advice to listener and NFTOS contributor Jarrod in Australia.  We listen to some tunes and watch some cycling videos and give our expert (*cough*) commentary.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (Alberto Contador, Lance Armstrong, Jesús Hernández, Levi Leipheimer) ride into La Vuelta a Castilla y León as the obvious favorites.

The Midi Libre is the Tour de France warm-up race that was slipping my mind.

Approximately 47 minutes in length.

Photo on the right:  Rob cycles on a free 'rental bike' in Nagano Prefecture over the weekend.

Today's video:  1985 World Road Race Championships won by Joop Zoetemelk at age 38.

Spotted this one in Nagano over the weekend.  A 'snack' is a type of Japanese bar where the regulars have a 'keep bottle' on the wall with their name on it.  They are usually small, dark and full of cigarette smoke.  You go there, not so much to meet new people, but to hang out with the owner and/or their staff members who light your cigarette, pour your drinks and provide witty conversation at the end of a long day.  See 1.1.1 Snack bars:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hostess_club#Snack_bars

Vidoe 1: The 1977 Milano-San Remo set to disco. You gotta watch this one!

Video 2: This 300 km race ends in a photo finish and a crash!

The 100th edition of this classic, which the Italian fans refer to as 'La Primavera,' takes place this Saturday. I was lucky enough to see Sean Kelly cross the line first in front of some very disappointed fans who had pre-selected their hero Moreno Argentin to win it. This was way back in 1992...

*(I've entirely missed both the Northern and Southern hemispheres' most recent Summers, and will completely lose my mind if I miss another one wherever it may be!)

As I'm re-listening to my chat with Ben Darwin, and editing a few bits here and there, I'm also looking for links on the net. I couldn't find any YouTube clips, so if anyone knows of any video footage of him on the field of play, please let me know!

He does have his own wiki profile page, as well as the sporting heroes profile link above and his journalist profile over on rugbyzone.co.za.

You can read his RugbyZone column, The Art of Japanese Rugby ( Part 1 and Part 2 have been posted so far).

Finally, as it was an injury which forced his retirement from playing the game, he would also probably like you to check out this link on sport and spinal injury.
